Section 31 recently posted an interview with Herman Zimmerman. In the interview, Zimmerman takes credit for designing the Enterprise both internally & externally. Does this really mean that he, not John Eaves, designed the Akiraprise? Might this also mean that the Akiraprise was NOT Berman's idea? He also stated that there is no secondary hull underneath the saucer, so apparently the underside of the saucer looks similar to the dorsal view. I guess that the "pod" at the rear of the ship is the Enterprise's version of a secondary hull.

This is really odd. I was thinking the same thing when I read that article in one of the other threads here. The Trek news sources like TrekWeb and TrekToday have been saying for months now that it is John Eaves who designed the Enterprise. Rick Sternbach supposedly said this as well, but the closest we have to verification on that is a thread at another forum that says Sternbach told him that.
If John Eaves is not the designer of the Enterprise, why the heck has almost everyone been saying that he is? But if John Eaves is the designer of the Enterprise, then why is this article giving credit to Herman Zimmerman?

Well, they both worked on the Ent-E, with Eaves doing most of the actual drawings but Zimmerman certainly playing a heavy role. Same story here? Having ships designed by several people is not at all unusual: The DS9 station was designed by half the people on the Paramount lot and their dogs, for instance.

Actually, if someone else designed the NX Enterprise, they are giving up credit because it is a COMPLETE .. F***ING .. RIPOFF of the Akira that Eaves designed, so they are giving credit where credit is due

That's really weird. Why is everyone so keen on taking credit for the Akiraprise?
Anyway, there must be an engineering hull, because the PTCs from the engine room are going up in an angle that wouldn't allow the room to be in the saucer (unless they have still one more kink on their long way to the nacelles).

And why wouldn't they? The E-D's conduits ran straight out horizontally from the core, but the engine room wasn't on the same level as the nacelles.

Indeed, the TNG Blueprints put quite a few kinks on the PTC line...

Good point... i assumed that Eaves did.. basically the NX Ent is a ripoff of the Akira, and if i had designed it i wouldnt take credit for it.
