In these early stages should humans be smarter than aliens.

President Josiah Bartlet: Congratulations. So, who is da man on this one?

Communications Director Toby Ziegler: I think this time we're all collectively da man, sir.

Deputy Communications Director Sam Seaborn: I accidentally slept with a call girl.

Communications Director Toby Ziegler: Accidentally? Did you trip over something?

He's clearly gone 4-oh-4 on us here.

I believe I speak for many when I say, "Huh?"

I'd like to point out that the smarter person is the one who can successfully utilize the contractual formation instead of the homonymical possessive form.

Will someone please tell me how Dr. Phlox was able to edit Harry's message? To my knowledge, he's not an admin.

Could be Harry playing a trick on us!

If that is Phlox editing Harry's message, I think he's in for a banning.

I'm asking should the prominent aliens (Suliban, Vulcans, Klingons)Enterprise be smarter than the humans. That's all.

If you're asking whether those races should be more advanced over all than Terrans, the answer is that the Vulcans and Klingons are, while the Suliban are not (save a few who have been given special techology by FutureGuy).

Take a look at TOS. Many humans there didn't act very smart. Many of those unfortunate EE redshirts for example.
