SOme very interesting things going on here, mainly:

-Finally, we get to see some other Starfleet ships.

-Some new Klingon ships as well, presumably, provided we don't already see them in "Judgement."

-Although the ep deals with a Klingon attack on the NX-01, I find it very interesting that the preview did not in fact mention that the Klingons were also responsible for the attack on Earth, although the Klingons' actions could certainly warrant Starfleet believing them to be responsible, even if they weren't. Get my drift?...

I'm actually more relieved that they're going HOME at last. For the past two seasons, despite being in contact with Earth the notion that they seemed to have an open-ended mission with no foreseeable return home has bothered me. I mean, they left Earth days before they were ready, and though they had supposedly equipped enough to accomplish their mission, it always felt odd that they never had scheduled times to return home for refit, crew rotation, R&R, etc. I'm glad that they finally have the opportunity for this - though it seems that this is not the object of the episode.

considering the politics that have developed, I would suspect either the Romulans, beginning the Earth/Romulan war (I know, I know, but the dates are close enough for B&B), a natural disaster, or the Vulcans trying to prove that space is to dangerous (and then blaming the Andorians).

I'm hoping for the Romulans attacking Earth option....or mabye Klingon family wanted to replace Duras' position.
...mabye even the Klingons archer and his "A-Team" humiliated when they (the Klingons) tried to steal that duterium.

There is, in fact, a canonical date for the Terro-Romulan War. The war was happening (and therefore, started before) a date approximately 100 years (plus/minus maybe 15 years or so) before an unspecified date in the late 2260s. In other words, potentially anywhere from around 2150 to around 2185.

Please note that this information is based on excerpts from an early draft of the script, and details will likely change before the episode enters production.
Does anyone know if the script is available online?
