I seem to be unable to find a bridge layout for a Nebula class ship bridge module. I've searched the net through and through but always come up with just text descriptions. Does anyone out there have a picture of a Nebula Class bridge layout? If so, could you tell me the URL of where I can see it? I know the ST Mag had it, but that is (so conveniently) the only edition that happens to be sold out! Please, someone reply ASAP! I have been having so much trouble finding one! And one last thing... is the console that the conn officer sits at in the front or back of the bridge, and does the conn officer sit or stand?

Most starships have different bridges, even those ships from the same class ...
Of the three Galaxy-Class bridges that we've seen: the E-D, Yamato, and Odyssey, only the E-d and Yamato resembled each other -- the Odyssey was completely different.
I think we saw three or four different Miranda bridges on TNG also, count the SARATOGA from DS9 to that number.
Are you talking about the Nebula-Class Prometheus from DS9?

Seanr did it. Anyway, this is his interpretation of what a real class bridge would look like, since the one in "Second Sight" is a hasty set-of-the-week. Notable differences include no railings or MSD on the real bridge, a different captain's chair, and more chairs for the aft stations than on this picture.
In the case you're asking about the auxilliary control / battle bridge of the USS Sutherland, there's no real screencaps Ive ever seen... But it's one of the odder bridge sets I've seen. The captain's chair is against the back of the set, with two science stations off to the port side aft (starboard aft is where the door is IIRC). The conn and ops stations are FACING the Captain's chair angled forward of that position, and are like the free-standing consoles on the Nebula bridge linked above. The viewscreen is notably tiny.

The bridge as seen in "Second Sight" does seem to be lacking. Each bridge ought to have a MSD in a prominent location (although I can't really figure out why, since they never use the things to show anything useful like damage reports). Perhaps the one on the Prometheus was actually on the FRONT wall, next to the viewscreen (or displayed on it)?
As for the bridge of the Odyssey, perhaps Keogh commanded from his battle bridge? He sounded like a pragmatic guy, and the battle bridge would be nicely protected since the saucer was still attached... I do admit, though, that most ships probably have unique bridge layouts, perhaps made to the personal needs of their captains. The E-D and the Yamato might have been the only ships in the Fleet to have those super-luxurious bridges, designed for diplomatic representation - the rest of the Galaxy or Nebula behemoths could have had tiny bridgelets (as on the Prometheus) since they didn't really NEED anything fancier. All that open space would just induce captains to pace nervously and lose the respect of their underlings...

IIRC, the Odyssey bridge set was one of the bridge-of-the-week sets, but was partially modified to sort of resemble the E-D's bridge. That raises the question of why that bridge set wasn't used, unless the reason was they were modifying if for "Generations". But then of course the Odyssey bridge set was later modified as the E-B bridge also for "Generations". Okay, getting carried away here, but many unanswered questions for me.

Was the Odyssey bridge really used for the E-B? I thought that at the time, there were three parallel bridge sets:
1)The E-D main bridge.
2)The circular set used for the later TOS movie ships, TNG battle bridges, the Amargosa observatory and various late-TNG laboratories.
3)A separate set reserved for DS9 use, initially used as the Saratoga bridge and then redressed for various ships including the Prometheus, the Norkova and finally the Odyssey. This one wasn't circular at all, but featured mainly linear back and side wall elements.
It might be that the borders between the bridges weren't so clear, so to say. Perhaps a set of wall segments was simply being shared by the shows. But the "Making of DS9" book seems to show the Saratoga bridge as a semi-standing set for DS9 use, so one would think this is what they would go for when filming "The Search".

I could have sworn the Saratoga bridge was the "classic" movie one. . . once again the cry goes up, "anyone got vidcaps?"

The Saratoga bridge was hacked together from the aft third or so of the E-A/Excelsior movie set, with the remaining walls being newbuild. It was later used as the bridge of the Prometheus and then the Odyssey, before being reassembled into the E-B for Generations (and hauled out after that for the Excelsior in "Flashback" and the newer Prometheus in "Message in a Bottle"). The Norkova (I'm guessing that it's the freighter that the posessed Bashir tried to hijack, right?) used the aft stations of the E-A that were swapped with an MSD to form the Excelsior set for ST6.
Some people often mistake the bridge sets on TNG with these, but obstensibly they're not related. The Battle bridge in "Encounter at Farpoint" was a redress of the original Enterprise movie bridge, seen again that season and as a courtroom in "Measure of a Man". There was another newbuild set (according to Mike Okuda) that was used for lots of ship bridges afterwards, starting with the Hathaway and also seen as the E-C, Bozeman, and Pasteur. It was also used as Data's lab, other labs aboard ship, and lots of alien sets.

IIRC, the Battle Bridge has looked different all three times we've seen it ...

The 1st and 2nd times we saw it, the battle bridge was the same set - lit somewhat differently, not to mention the sound editing improvements. In "BoBW II" it's that "other" bridge set I described above.
