I've got two questions about the Excelsior.
First, How many phasers does the Excelsior have?
Second question, Can someone tell me how the Excelsior was painted for the movies,TNG & DS9? I've got the Excelsior model and am trying to paint it to look just like it appears in the movies and series.

IIRC the Excelsior had 12 dual phaser points. 10 on the primary and 2 on the secondary hull.

About the Excelsior modification, some reason several more points might've been added during the dominion war refits and rearmaments...

The actual Excelsior model (be it the ST3 one, its modification into the ST6 form, the later-built "Flashback" one, or the CGI one corresponding to the "Flashback" ship) always has the following armament visible:

20 phasers on the saucer, in 5 dorsal + 5 ventral dual mounts

4 phasers at the bottom of the secondary hull, in four single mounts

2 forward torpedo tubes - big round holes on the bow of the secondary hull

In addition, there are two cylindrar things under the aft hull fantail, but these do not have obvious openings, and not all accept them as aft torpedo tubes.

The "Enterprise-B" variant of the model adds no visible weapons emplacements. However, a MSD of that ship shows two twin mounts for phasers on the upper aft secondary hull, flanking the shuttlebay-thingie, as well as torpedo tubes on the neck of the ship and in the secondary hull aft cutout (but omits the tubes on the secondary hull bow and stern). While these cannot be seen on the model, one might say they are present on the actual ship nevertheless. FWIW, the phasers are designated as "type 8 emitters" in the display.

The neck of all the models does feature two openings, each of which seems to hold some sort of a two-barred thingamabob. This is a bit unlikely to be a torp launcher, since it is aimed straight at the underside of the primary hull! Perhaps this is a sensor array of sorts. It may even swivel out of the way to allow for shuttles to enter, since a workbee train SEEMED to come out of such a hole in "Generations". Or then it indeed is a torp launcher, yet one that cannot fire dead ahead but always fires a bit off-axis.

Finally, USS Lakota was seen firing phasers from a couple of places where the model does not have emitters. These places were

-on the outer sides of the impulse nozzles
-between the impulse crystals (the domes atop the impulse assembly)
-between the nacelles, on that big hump that covers the point where the pylons join

It's impossible to say whether these were supposed to be single or twin emitters. And even the twin banks are never seen firing twin beams, anyway.

Since the nacelle-hump on the Excelsior look very much like the hump on the chin of the Sovereign (holding the torpedo launcher and captain's yacht), I would think it cool if they planted an aft quantum launcher in the excelsior hump.
It would be ideal, a great wide firing arch, no interference with exiting shuttles (unlike the proposed launchers 10m above the shuttlebay).
Plus, they DID have quantums for the forward tubes...
