Anyone have some good CGI images of the Akira-Class? Preferably, ones that aren't on the mainstreams like sci-fi-art.com..?

Do you mean non-official CGI pics... stuff done by fans?

scifi-art.com's akira is VERY detailed and VERY accurate to the actual ILM model. everything else i have seen online has been crap. why don't you want scifi-art's? [edited] well, the one above, which must have been posted a second before this post looks NICE! but as far as i know, 3dgladiators doesn't really have a site right now, just a forum.

Well, currently we're offering an arm-replacement tool with extra wiggly-waggly bits on, or, for the more daring among you, not one but two ocular replacements! Terrific. You want fries with that? Ohh, I'm sorry, I've just heard from the chef that fries are off - they're irrelevant, apparently."

And it was made by ILM, I believe. The term "model" does not only refer to plastic ones, y'know...

when i said model, i meant the CGI one. They still have to MODEL the ship, you know. and all the FC ships were made by ILM. by the way, while the E-E did have a physical model, much of the film was made with a CGI model.

Mine isnt as good as sci fi art, mainly because they have like 5 people working together. But I do put some effort into my trek CGs.

What IS it with 'homegrown' CGI!?!

The contrast with that picture is WAYOFF... all I can see in that pic - is the sun and the glowing nacelles and a bit of the hull... it makes it look so fake. Especially when there is no glow on to the adjacent hull...

Hmmmmm... Its just BLACK!

hmmmm.
