What's the point of giving these names?

Donny Finkleberg: "No, I...I think it was an entrance ramp."

There's no reason not to give them names.

Well, unless I miss my guess, I believe our grizzly friend here (*grin*) is trying to make a joke around the name "Maddox", but I'm afriad the significance escapes me, as well...

Spaulding: "Edgar."

I give up. What's the significance?

There is no significance-I'm assuming it's just to see who can come up with the best name for this ship. Why is it that all you people can't use your collective imaginations and come up with something? Why does it have to be all 'canon'? Just because it's not canon, you people ignore it. That's what's wrong. You have to accept things and be open to suggestions. So what if it's not 'canon'. Big deal. I just accept things until they are disproven. Hey, it works for me.

I hope I have not offended anyone. That's just my opinion on things here. I still think it should be called the U.S.S. Stewie.

The problem is, non-canon stuff can and is frequently contradicted.

Hint

Ok, the U.S.S Maddox made the one of biggest mistake of the Vietnam war, and Johnson conveniently forgot to tell the American public about it...
