And I'm sure that every fan ever is dead proud of their Post-Dominion war Federation in tatters Big Ships With Lotsa Phasers stories that they have written. And I'm sure that they would all LOVE for them to be considered canon. Doesn't mean it's going to happen (thank god).

We do already have something like that. Canon being the filmed stuff, semi-canon being the Encylopdia and whatnot, and then everything else.
