Good luck getting her to reply. I've heard it isn't easy...

I have tried to contact her several times with regards to "Unseen Frontiers" with no response. Does anyone know of anyone else at Pocket Books we can contact?

I don't think it makes a lot of sense to write e-mails to these people. I rather agree that something like the letter writing campaign for the "Captain Sulu" book could be more successful - if we get enough people to actually do it and not just talk about their willingness.

i think that, as a deterrent to future letter writing campaigns, they tried to convince us that wasnt the way by making every book with Captain Sulu in it complete shit. Ever try to sit through "Cacophony"?! I'm like, i wrote a letter for this?

They had to be written letters, not e-mails didn't they? That sort of thing would be a lot harder to accomplish.

It would be and it was. The letter-writing campaign fell short... but there's been more support expressed for this book.
Cap'n Mike... that would only make sense if Cacophony had been put out after the writing campaign, rather than way before, which is what it was.

I disagree. A properly run campaign can tip the scales in one direction or another if a decision is in much dispute. Mind you, I don't think it can, say, revive the dead.

yes, many were disappointed by the failure of the 'Bring Back Gene' campaign.
i suppose now would be a bad time to point out that, even though Trek fans are proud of their activities, the letter writing campaigns of the 60s didnt do much in the way of influencing the networks to keep the show on the air, and were (mostly) staged by Roddenberry for publicity

I'm drawing a blank on this, while I'm a natural born cynic... Out of curioity then, we need examples to discuss, preferably from outside Star Trek.
