The ship that Riker gets in Nemesis, but never see :-( , does anyone have any clue what class it might be? Hopefully a Akira and not Galaxy.

Because TEH AKIRA HAS FIFFTEEN TORPSPEDO TUBES AND IS TEH KEWLEST SHIPS EVAR!!!1!!!?
If they don't say in the movie what class it is, there's no use speculating. It could literally be any class known to be active, or an unknown class. It's just as likely to be an Akira as it is to be an Oberth as it is to be Lundgren-class.

We'll wait and wait for the next Encyclopaedia (and I mean really wait, as there may well not be any more), only to find that once again all the entry says is "Federation Starship."

I'd bet any amount of money that it'll be a new starship class. I'll bet any additional amount of money that we won't see much more than its bridge set, and that it'll be a redress of some other set we've already seen.

Well, I'm assuming that that sixty minutes is just the several scenes that were cut from the script (none of which featured the Titan) and a bunch of alternate takes/blooper reels.

As per wilwheaton.net, the first cut came in about 44 minutes too long. So that would presumably all be regularly scripted-and-filmed scenes, not bloopers.

Okay. I could still see the scenes that were scripted and cut, in addition to all the usual "tightening" of scenes and dialogue, totalling around 44 minutes. There's still no reason to believe that there's some shot of the Titan that they just threw in even though it wasn't in the script, and then cut. They wouldn't have spend the money to do CGI or even a set redressing if they weren't going to use it.

ROTFL. Do you realize how people would react if the Titan was a shitty old class of ship... people like seeing new, sleek, fast, powerful ships that give them nice eyecandy.
