Ever noticed how most of the web sites are same-ish and rather spammy? The material I'd really love to find appears to be totally unavailable!
The really good books are the fan published ones but unfortunately I can't get them here in the UK (no ISBN)! Most of the magazines and other fan club publications never make it over here either, more's the pity.
I think we need to set up a decent (frequently updated) central site with hard-to-get info and links... otherwise I'll never have as much as I want

Anyone want to help me out by sending me stuff?

Doubtless there's going to be LOTS of chatting bout this one!!

Well, what sort of information are you after? And this is rather what Sol's behaviour Alliance hopes to do. . .

*mourns for the loss of Utopia Planitia*

Sadly any centralised Treknology/Starships site seems to overwhelm anyone who tries to organise it, until it's forced to close. A repository of quality links is a sound idea though. spread out the load.

Starbuck: Just tell what kind of information you're looking for. I'm sure we can help or at least discuss the issue.

Bernd's site has some really nice structural analyses of undocumented classes if you haven't seen it before, and I just put up a site devoted to Trek tech analysis which is on the level of these forums and startrek.expertforum.ricksternbach as far as the accuracy of info and analysis is concerned. At least, that's what it is striving to be; it won't unless people come out with comments (sadly watching my topic sink down the list...).

Ahoy, Starbuck!

There are several sites containing some of the information you seek at The Behaviour Alliance.

Bernd's site should be there, but I'm afraid I haven't added it yet. Boris' too, if he'll let me.

If it's starships you're looking for, my I shamelessly plug my site. The Federation Starship Datalink. Ex Astris Scientia is a very good site as well.

Well the sort of stuff I had in mind was from minority fan publications... Some specialist stores over here carry Jackill's, Starfleet Dynamics and a couple of others, but I would like to get hold of more fanzine articles.
Also I hear there are some excellent Treknology articles in other mags u can't get over here (ppl have mentioned STAR TREK THE MAGAZINE and STAR TREK MECHANIC) - so what say we set up a resource sharing forum for ppl to post "wanted" messages for this stuff?
I'd be willing to contribute anything I've got - including stuff from the UK magazine STAR TREK FACT FILES.

Let me know what you think.

Starbuck: Well, it's up to CC to put up new forums, and currently I don't see he will add a new one. If you like to share material, just post a normal topic and say it explicitly in the headline.

I'd like to know if you have scanned ship schematics from the Fact Files (Federation, alien, anything not published so far). I am currently about 60 issues behind the UK, so I don't have the latest information.

If you don't have a server, I could put it up for you.

Well actually I am planning to do something over Summer because I am getting a new PC...
The internet provider Crosswinds (www.crosswinds.net) apparently gives UNLIMITED free webpage space, so I was thinking of setting up a central site there!
Anyone wanna help?
I especially want the latest info, anything not published by Titan or Pocket Books, and any neat fan designs...
Also I want to set up an Okudagram resource... official ones and "build-it-yourself" kits. OPinions?

Okudagram resource: good idea.

Just ask if you need specific material.

This thread will be continued in the new topic Treknology Central, if that's OK with you!
