I just read something claiming to have the registry of the USS Intrepid: NCC-74600. They claim this is taken from a newsgroup post by Rick Sternbach. Anyone know if this is even the slightest bit credible?

Sternbach himself said that he has no idea where that registry came from and it's not valid. So, no.
