"You mean that there's actually free webservice that allows for hotlinking?"

Probably not. But who's requiring that the images be posted inline?

Here are a few links to the pics from WYLB:

http://flareupload.pleh.net/uploads/322/miranda2.jpg
http://flareupload.pleh.net/uploads/322/miranda3.jpg

The next one has nothing to do with the ships, but will illustrate the "quality" of the R2 DVDs.

Maybe someone has the proper R1 DVD and can post the same picture for comparisson reason?

Bye, o2

Pretty Sabre class in that last pic (just above the Miranda).

The registry on the Miranda in the lower right looks a lot like NCC-1864...

Something possibly more interesting: The saucer edge is somehow "rugged" and maybe even indented, and there are portholes(?) around the saucer which I don't know from any other Miranda.

It looks like there's possibly another RCS thruster at the saucer's forwardmost point.

As a CGI Miranda, it could be 1864. We know that there was a CGI Reliant done for the Starship Spotter book...

That was USS Majestic, actually... I think all the shots of "Sisko's Run" (when they were weaving between dozens of Galors) were done by Foundation, whereas all the rest of the new stuff was Digital Domain. Mojo used the model of the Majestic for Starship Spotter, so it's PROBABLY not the one seen in the new shot from the finale.

My money's on the thing being a new reg - DD did all the reg dropping in "Tears of the Prophets", and probably did something for the finale here, since IIRC they were responsible for all the new shots.

I thought it was Digital Muse? Isn't Digital Domain the new VFX house that took over for Nemesis?

It looks like NCC-1864 to me. Jesus. I mean, background shots are one thing, but this thing flies right *into* the camera... [Roll Eyes]

Mojo did a CGI Reliant for a cover of Star Trek: The Magazine promoting the release of the TWOK Director's edition. Don't remember, but it may have been a new model. In any case, this was long before that.

Actually, wasn't that Reliant shot done by a fan, not someone working for a VFX house? Fabio Passaro comes to mind for some reason...

Could the registry number be NCC-1964?

Or NCC-18641, for that matter.

The bow triangle does look interesting - it's not part of any of the physical Miranda models. And what about those dark dots on the "pedestal" of the bridge module? The "ramscoops" also look unique here... We could well argue that the 24th century Mirandas were more varied than we previously thought, and it was just the poor resolution of the shots that made them all look alike!
