I was wondering if anyone has a picture of this mysterious runabout from "When it Rains," "Tacking into the Wind," etc. We always see it in ship lists, but no one ever has an image of it. Was this registry made up by some fan or was it in fact visible in the episode? This has been haunting me for some time...

Well, thanks for the confirmation. I looked around and couldn't find a pic (I don't have the episode), and didn't know if it was just another fan rumor...like that Miranda in WYLB with a new registry.

The name appears to have at least seven characters, though up to about ten are possible.
The first letter appears to have a line which juts up and to the left, such as one might find in a V or a Y. W or X might also satisfy such a criteria.
Assuming the CGI guys put a new name on it which stuck with the major Earth river thing, I'd think she could be the Yenisey or the Winnipeg.
However, that's just guesswork . . . in-universe, it could be any major alien or historic colonial river, and in the production-verse it could be any old staffer's name.

The Gander was just a last-minute redub, IIRC. The script calls it Ganges. They simply forgot the Ganges had been destroyed way back in the second season.

Just because you reuse the name doesn't mean you have to reuse the registry or suffix it.
