Hi all, well Peeps u can spread the word the Orginal Gilso Star Trek Schematic Web site will be coming back soon...
I need a web site that will host about 130mb of the original site site that needs to be uploaded.. I have not touched the site since I closed it last year.I have lost some web site graphics i.e Background images etc of the site so I have my work cut of for me. I did Email Bernard about a few months ago about saying that I will return . WelL I am saying here and now GILSO IS BACK.
I have read some post here that peeps where looking at another site UTV something.. It was hosted first before I move to a faster server at the time.. It has some reference stuff but not what I had at the original site.. I will repost the whole site as soon As i can and will then progress on finishing the Ent-A deck plans .....

He's made six posts in one year, three of which were plugging his original site, one to say it was being taken down, and now two more to say it's coming back. Give me a one-post newbie who says "Hi! I love Star trek, Please visit my Janeway/Neelix slash fanfic site" any day. 8)

Legend? I'd say that's overstating the case a bit. He's one of quite a lot of sites which have starship schematics. And at least the others have been up and running when needed. And round here the guy's just someone who posts to promote his webpage while making no other useful contribution. How is that different from, say, Kevin, or Ktrek , or Jag2112 ?

GIslo's are origianal and VERY good. Besides, he's known to us and never says a bad word about anyone.
...and it's not as if he's selling anything: he's just updating us on his website (and there was an entire thread on his site -and where to find a mirror- that he neither started or participated in, so Flarites want to know.
I think we're a tad rough on the "newbie/spam" issue as it is anyway.

Hello all once again. I have come back to reply to some of the peoples responce to my post here at Flare. Ok first of all I am not spaming my site or trying to get more hits as some would put it... To bring the attention of a certain person named " Lee Bears all the Al-Qaedas of Hallmark who thinks I am spaming my site. Answer me this question "How can I Spam a site when 1) There is no site at the minute to direct peoples attention to and 2) Spam shows a URL or a WWW page Address to thatsite. Well I think and I know that no Link was posted to any address relating to my web site when I main the original post a few days go.
I will put the facts straight to you Lee that since that you may not have seen my site which was up for about 3-4 years. I was informing people that since my site was removed from the web that people had lost a valuable source of reference material for Star Trek and later On I added Star Wars as well a year later ....
The site was created for once purpose only and that was to give model builder's, peoples using CAD and 3D graphical programmes and others in the wide spectrum of computer graphic's for a valuable source of reference material.
Since the site was removed people kept e-mailing me to return the site to the web. I had other problems which needed my attention, and are now well sorted. People loved the site and found it a great and detailed site for reference material. It was that enjoyment from people that I kept going for so long with the site... I have and will return the site as soon as possible.
Oh Lee I also paid for the web hosting and the costs when the sites bandwith was exceed at times. I incurred all the costs and I will continue to do so, when the site is returned to the web. I do not have any banners, ads, pop-ups link's to others site that will pay for my site. Oh and I do not sell any of my plans either to any body nor will I do so even asked my email or private communication etc.
I am not starting and flaming here but putting my point here at flare in way that is broad and open minded to what u can do. I will put this point to you Lee and its a challenge as well... If all you can is put me down and call me a Spammer to a web site that just does Star Trek Schematics well then Lee please by all means and this is what u can do is... Please, Please, Please go one better then me, and put a better web site up than what I had, in more detail, more information, originalality and exceeds 130MB online web space on the subject of Ster Trek Schematics only then please point me to your link now mate ......
I think I have stated my point Lee to you that I have wasted 30 minutes of my time that could have been devoted to better things than reading your few lines and putting me down. I will let the others in flare make there point here, if they want to, because IT IS FOR THEM not me that the Web site is returning.....
All I can say is that I am looking for Web hosting site and will try and up load the site ASAP or when time allows me to do so ...

Wasted is right. I didn't bother to do any more than skim all that. And you're fitting the profile perfectly - most of our other spammers usually posted little tantrums like that about how the rules shouldn't apply to them.
And your solution to the server problems are simple. Post smaller images, or pay for more bandwidth. Perhaps some of your grateful fans will reach into their pockets and chip in (cue deafening silence). Or maybe - and I'm not being facetious here, for once - if it's that much hassle generally, perhaps you should ask yourself why you bother to do it at all?

The point he's making with that is that he's NOT charging anything not making any money from his site.
It's there for us to enjoy -and many Flarites bemoaned it's absense, so his informing us that it's back should hardly be considered spam.
Spam is unsolisited and unwanted: this information is neither.
