Two words: Alternate Reality.
Turns out it works even better than the good old reset button. Now we only have to figure out whether the destruction of Remulus happened in the war-torn, BSG-ized novel universe, the nice and fluffy STO universe or the real post-Nemesis universe.
And since when do STMag articles even come close to being considered canon? What happened to you guys while I was gone? Canon is only the stuff that's on-screen plus the tech manuals plus the encyclopedia, as long as it's not contradicted. Am I correct? No Anventine or Titan or Destiny or Excalibur will ever be canon in my book.
