Warning there maybe some Fair Haven Spoilers here .

For those of you who have seen Fair Haven you may have noticed that when Janeway decided to Alter the Bartender's programing she entered a room marked "Holograpic Research Center" have any of you noticed this in any other episodes ?

The room looks rather small at first I thought it was the Transporter room because it had that black rough surface on the wall and on the councle , i made a small diagram of how it looks .

Is this somthing thats has been on the ship before is is this one of those things that just pop up on the ship for one ep ?

To me, it looked like the Cargo Bay with part of the Holodeck stuck inside of it.

We've seen this particular set arrangement before, as I recall, though this is the first time I've noticed the name.

I think that they just used half of the transporter room set with some modifications that would explain why the transporter room hasent been seen for a while.

Typos are the worst when you make them in pictures It should be fixed now.

It looked pretty much like the set from "Nothing Human" to me...

Did anyone also notice that very cheesy looking interface on the wall before Janeway entered? I would think it would look like the other interfaces like the one on the regular holodeck. It was just pasted on the wall.

Yeah it was real chessy i think the words "Holograpic Research Center" were just stickers, infact the "R" seemed to be slanted , no lights either just the noises

It was all gray too. I'm thinking though that it's part of Holodeck 2, and not 1. I don't know, the whole idea seemed kinda stupid to me. Not the idea of a holographic editing control, but not the way they did it.

Did the transporter room set catch fire during 1999? I heard that the bridge set caught fire and that's why very little of it was shown during the DS9 episode "Inter Arma..." Would that explain why we haven't seen that set for a while?

That Holodeck Research Center seems similar to something on my Enterprise-D blueprints called Holodeck Programing. It's a room that's near one of the holodecks on Deck 12.

Well i saw the rerun of "Fair Haven" Last night and i can safely say that that room is part of the Transporter room and maybe part of the Holodeck.

My Thoery is that the writers decided they wouldent need the transporter for the rest of the season so they decided to make it a holograpic research center ,this fits in with all the Hologram related shows that are forcast for the rest of the season and some of next season , including the return of fair haven , I'm pretty sure that this room is going to play a huge role in "Spirt Folk" where the cast of fair haven return.
