Rev's recent posts inspired me to get off my ass and finish up some TAS stuff. The size of Bonaventure and Huron are based on window spacing, so is debatable. What do you think: too big or too small? The Robot ship was actually docked to Enterprise, so the size is correct. The emblem from Bonaventure is from a pic of the council members of the Delta Triangle, which included a human woman in what looked like an old Starfleet uniform.

I am glad that you did it. I always wanted to see a comparison of the vessels from TAS. Now all we need is the shuttles from TAS as a comparison then we will have it made. Once again, awesome job.

Masao, your ships are so sexy. I wish that they'd use stuff like that in ENT..
BTW what is the RGB of your Enterprise hull tone?.. i appreciate the dull greeny-bluegray more than a lot of people...

The Starfleet Gray is R176/G191/B189
*writes down No.* Do you have any other starfleet RGB color codes?

I've been trying to incorperate that green colour scheme into the Antares for mounths but I just can't figure out how to do it without making the design look murky.

I think the Antares rules just as it is. But some older ships at the ASDB could use an overhaul with new colors. For some time I have been using different greenish-blueish colors in an attempt to imitate the ST Encyclopedia style, but more harmony in the color scheme definitely makes the ships look more realistic.

Color harmony is always a good thing; but I think that having more ships with a similar color is a better idea. It makes sense that Starfleet would use the same basic hull materials (or paint?) for ships during the same time period.

Flat gray is pretty boring. The slight green tint adds a bit of color, but not too much. I might have to slowly change all my pre-TOS ships to this color, but I've been too lazy.

I think the Antares is very cool too. I've been meaning to mesh that one up for Bridge commander. If I ever get caught up on other projects that is. I'll of course send pics for your perusal and approval first.
Masao, in case you read this I'm just starting a run through your Klingon D2 thru D4 to go with the D5 which may get a bit of a touch up.

I think the Huron is too big. Going by the Window size, which one would assume to be stock standard (plus you should paint them all black like on the Enterprise and the Bonaventure).

About that green color... In CorelDRAW, I usually make a gradient with the gray colors, and then add a bit of Ocean Green to it (Ctrl+left click). This gives an RGB of 192/198/198. It looks very similar.. and it's quite easy to make gradients, because you can use standard colors first. OTOH, I'm colorblind (your average male green/red colorblindness), so this could be completely wrong.
