This design is one that I started an odd amount of months ago (when Hope and fear came out).
I started with cutting and pasting prometheus and sovereign parts, but as you can see it has come a very long way since then.

I only have a top view, and lord knows when the rest are coming.

So here it is:

go to http://members.xoom.com/snipersystem and scroll down in my directory for excalibursmall.jpg and excaliburschem1.jpg

Oh, and by the way, I named this before I saw that B5 Call to arms movie.

The tail looks a bit like the Batwing , but not bad. Maybe you could find a suited explanation for the things sticking out from the wings. I also like your preliminary versions (the ones in the sub-dir). They don't look like kitbashes at the first glance.

The spikey things sticking out the back are communications antennae, and the four round things on the back of the pylons are really powerful thrusters, just in case the impulse engines wont work.

I have yet to add my windows to the excalibur. They should be there soon.

For now, here a couple other designs i have been working on.

The Excalibur is the ship from Crusade, too. I'm just wondering when this ship is from, considering the Ambassador-class Excalibur is currently under the command of Captain Calhoun and is in former Thallonian Space...

This ship was launched in 2405. The previous excalibur was either destroyed or decommissioned before this ship was launched.

Look at previous posts for explenation of pointy things (they're communications arrays).

I am awesturck...simply and utterly awestruck......

That shis is AWESOME!!!!!!

Is it a transwarp ship? Or just a warp drive ship?

And would there be any chance of seeing those 3D messy things oif that ship? Those would be so cool.

This ship is actually utilizes a Quantum Slipstream Drive, in correlation with a standard MARA core for backup. I would like to model the ship myself, but I can't afford a rendering program like 3DS. If anyone could model it, I would ever be grateful, but it would require some other views that i have not finished yet. I would be happy to answer any other questions about this design, as I have most of its tech specs written out. :-)

WHAT IS A M/ARA CORE? Okay, sorry about that, I've been drinking too much coffee lately. Anyway, it is short for Mater/Antimatter Reaction Assembly, the warp core.

I don't care too much for the designs, but that's obviously just my opinion from the other postings here.

On the other hand, I really like the style of the diagrams, although there are some things that bug me about the different parts of the ship...

Very impressive. They're very similar to the Prometheus-class.
