For this one I decided to take a component of the Denevan flag (which I invented) and set it over a silhouette of the colony. I may yet add an isometric view of the ship itself but that will have to wait until the design is finalised.

Latkes of doom. Floating fake vomit of death.
That flag looks less like a FLAG than a standard for a government. And the transport emblem in the middle is hinky, especially for the flag representing an entire colony. And "Jewel of the Federation?" Where is Michael Douglas? Where is Kathleen Turner?

Yeah, I'm with Shik on this one. The Deneva emblem would make a good Transport Command emblem if you change the text. Having it served as a colonies emblem makes no sense. I do like the silhouette of the buildings on the bottom of the development emblem.

Ok so that other one is the Colony's Federation Standard and this is the actual flag:
I used the Transport Command symbol because I reason that the colony would be proud of it's history as a cargo station and basically, I really don't have anything else to work with. Perhaps that logo originated from the old Earth Cargo Service days and represented a common type of cargo container. Or maybe it's an ancient Tellarite glyph which represents commerce and/or has a cultural tie to their era of ocean bound trade and travel.

Nice ; not too sure about the half wreath thingy but I don't think it makes it look bad or anything. Perhaps it could merge into an orbit track with the Deneva on it (you know what I mean- a line tracing the orbit with the ship at the end of it)? Sorry if that's not explained terribly well but tough .

That's looks much better, although green & yellow aren't my first choices of colors. But picky.
I'm wondering though...hmm...
Do we know what star system Deneva is in? Does Star Charts tell us? Because if it does, you might be able to rearrange the stars into the shape of that constellation, making Deneva's primary a bit larger. That way, it would look less like the insignia of a General Of The Army.
The idea of the Transport Command logo on a civilian flag still irks me, though

OK, a little research yielded...not much. The Encyclopedia does say that it's "considered by many to be one of the most beutiful in the galaxy, boasting a population of over 1 million." Colonized in the 2100s, served as Rev said "as a base for interstellar freighting." There's also a mention of "Denevan crystals," noted as being contraband material & a Federation crime to possess or sell them.
BJo Trimble's Concordance is a little interesting. She assumes Deneva to be a variant of Deneb or more likely Denebola, & thus conjectures that Denebola is the primary, putting the palent in the Leo constellation, She mentions it has a research station (where GSK worked) & "served as a trading-line base between asteroid belt mines & Federation planets."
Based on all of this...this is probably a major sector command hub that's far more than simply a trading base. It's probably "the Earth of Sector 225" or whatever, much like Atlanta claims to be the "New York of the South" (& ends up being the "LA of the East").
I'd rework from there. But that's me.
