Well, since there are a few other design request threads floating around at the moment, I guess this is as good a time as any for this.
I'm hoping at some point to do a technical manual spoof for the parody series I've been posting here for some time. I'd like to have at least one quasi-nice picture of the lead ship for it, but ship design is not among my skills. I know there are several really good ship designers around here, so I'm hoping one among you might be nice enough to help me out.
I don't need anything fancy. Just a top view will more than suffice, color certainly not neccessary, tons of detail not required, and I certainly am not in any sort of rush to have it done. I'd just like a clean image of a ship that doesn't look too hideous.
For anybody willing to help me out, here's some general data about the ship:
USS Relativity, NCV-474439-H
29th Century temporal warship. About the same internal volume as the Wells, but shaped very much like the Defiant. I know Bernd's site has pictures of the Aeon and the Wells, so anybody who needs to look at some 29th century ships can find them there.
Many thanks in advance to whomever helps me out.
And if anybody's wondering what happened to the Relativity-G, I blew it up.

....i heard the Pope's speaking out against it as well and urging world leaders to ban it.

What't the deal with the H at the end of registry of the Relativity? Is she the ninth ship with this registry with the NCV prefix? Registry numbers will never make sense to me. They probably did it just to irratate starship spotters and confound Web site writers who are trying to make sense of it all.

"H" may refer to "Historical" as in to monitor and meddle in history. A stretch, I know...

LOL! What if the time line is totally messed up and the H is the first starship with the registry. The next starship would be G, and the next F, and so on. Captain Braxton did it!

I would suggest that you folks refer to Episode 73: "Yesterday's Relativity". It's an episode based on a single throwaway line from way back in Episode 14...
quote:Episode 14: "Untitled" - Guest Episode by TSN
On the bridge of USS Relativity, Captain Braxton (whichever one it is that's in charge of that ship) was inspecting the dedication plaque on the wall.
"Hey, waitaminute..." he muttered. He straightened up and faced the bridge crew. "Who made this plaque?"
Lt. Ducane looked up from his console. "Er... I believe it was installed at Spacedock. Presumably, it was made there."
"Well, I just noticed something. We're the Relativity-G, but it says we're the seventh ship with the name. Now, math was never my best subject, and neither was the alphabet, but I count that the original Relativity, plus the A through the G, would be eight ships..."
Despite his astonishment that the captain had managed, not only to remember the alphabet in the proper order, but to count the letters correctly, Ducane replied, "Well, sir, that's true. However, there was a small temporal, er... accident... about eighty years before our time, and the Relativity-E sort of... became the Relativity-F. It's one of those things it's best not to think too much about."
The temporal mechanics involved in a ship's becoming its own successor had already given Braxton a headache, though, and he slouched back into his chair.
Does your head hurt yet?

Mabye the "H" on the ship should be peeling away to reveal a "I" underneath it....
