Backstory: Starfleet realized during the Dominion War that Akira's were inadequate carriers for fighter wings. So, they looked into the possiblity of either refitting an existing class to carriers or building a brand new class. Designers tried modifying the designs of Ambassadors, Constellations, Niagras and Mirandas. None of these worked too well, as the variants would be very expensive to refit. So, designers, after several months came up with a design for a ship.
The Nimitz, named in honor of the famous 20th century carriers, is about 600+ meters, with a thick Constellation style saucer section. The saucer holds the launch bays for the fighters. The ship also contains a pod, similar to the New Orleans or Nebula that hangs from the bottom. This pod contains quarters and other things. No idea how many Peregrines it can hold.
My comment: Akiras apparently are supposed to be carriers, besides being torpedo ships of doom. I figured that Starfleet would, at some point, want a ship class dedicated completely to being a carrier. I also had a nice mental image of refitted Soyuz's flying close to the Nimitz, acting as escorts.
If someone would create a drawing or a render in their free time, that would be great. You don't have to though.

How would you scale the windows in a Size: Large ship??
Also, place the Nimitz name at the head of the list, otherwise it looks as though it should be the Doolittle Class, which, while also appropriate, may cause a few jokes around the fleet....
The 'batmobile' armor remark needs to be moved to section for notes, not in the specs area...
As for an image, we do support many of the files formats, including all of the more popular ones, and the image can be of any type, from a quick hand sketch to full blown 3D. If drawing isn't your talent, you can ask those that do have it for help, and someone may....
