I was wondering if anyone knows of the name of the comic (or better yet, knows of a picture somewhere) that has a Romulan-ized D7 with a double hull? I saw this ship in a comic a while ago. It was set in the Movie-era, of course. It just looked like a D7 with another wing thing going under the nacelles and a weapons pod in the middle of it. Thanks!

I've got that comic somewhere, I'll dig it out tomorrow and scan it for you. [Smile]

There was a similar one in a 5 part story that ran in the Star Trek comic. The Romulans went back in time and messed up Klingon history. When they returned to the 23rd Century they found that the Federation had joined forces with the peaceful Klingons (a race of diplomats and scientists) to wipe out the Romulan Empire decades before. In that timeline, Uhura was Kirk's first officer, Colonel Worf was a Starfleet lieutenant and his science officer, and David Marcus had never died. The Klingons' sense of honor compelled them to return the timeline to normal.

hehe... Lieutenant Worf. And yes, I know it's the Worf from ST6 and not the TNG/DS9 Worf.

Here's my scan of the movie-era Romulan Warbird from DC's Star Trek #55 entitled "TIME CRIME, PART THREE: Time...To Time!"

That's the only panel of the ship in the issue I have, but the others in the arc might have more...

The single lamest ship design I've ever seen.

I dunno, I always thought it was a nice "link" in the design lineage...

I agree it's a bit clumsy, even if it is a logical progression.

How would they get to the lower section of the ship?

The TNG warbird has connections fore and aft to the lower section, but this....

Well it looks like the lower section is just equipment. There probably isn't any living establishments down there. Also, the same problem is apparent in the Oberth... [Wink]

Thanks for the scan, Mim!

They should have mirrored the head and body to the bottom position, but pointing the oppposite direction. They could then go in all directions equally fast!!!!

Then it would spin on it's vertical axis as it moved, like it was rolling toward you! [Big Grin]

Here's a much better design by April Wells:
