For a long time, I wanted a higher resolution version of the patch/logo, but couldn't find any, so after last Christmas, I'd purchased the metal model from Hallmark that they were selling asn an ornament (it rocks), and used the tiny logo on the bottom as a template to create a large version. At the time I didn't have Illustrator or Freehand, so I had to do it in Photoshop. I saw a month or so ago on the StarTrek.com site they have a fair sized version now, and until I carefully studied it, I thought they used mine! But no, theirs is slightly different. I'd posted this originally months ago in one of the Trek newsgroups, but since I'm here looking for other stuff, I thought I'd give back.
This is a wallpaper sized version with a star background. Patch Wallpaper
And this is the PSD file. It's over a meg in size, zipped, and with a whole mess of layers. It's PS6 format, and I have no idea if PS5 or 5.5 can open it. PSD
Hope you all enjoy, I'll soon convert it to a vector format, robably, to be scalable.

They're all 24bit PNGs, so they're lossless (no JPEG artifacting), and the last one uses the full 8 bit alpha transparency, so if you have Photoshop, PaintShop Pro, Gimp, or something similar, you'll see a perfectly blended edge with whatever you choose to composite it with.
Glad to hear folks like it.

Your patch is the most accurate logo I have seen of the Enterprise Shoulder Patch. You must have studied the patch quite closely. It really resembles the one done by Paramount. "My hat goes off" to you on your great work.

I spent far more time than I anticipated. A couple weeks ago I found StarTrek.com had put up new wallpapers. The one that had me wondering was this one: Enterprise wallpaper

Sweet. Finally a good look at Archer's Ready Room Drawings. They look like ink washes done on colored paper with white paint highlights. I think the signature is Eaves'.

Have you done any other mission patch design? Have you seen what Reverend has done in Logos Logos everywhere thread?

No, I haven't done any other things like this for Trek, no, but I _have_ been following Rev's thread, yes. I'm going to convert the Ent patch to a vector format, now that I upgraded to the Macromedia 2k4 studio suite. I was going to do a MACO patch, but he beat me to that too. I do think I'll find a way to do more without overlapping Reverend's works, while still rivalling him in quality.
