OK this is an update taking on board some of your suggestions... I'm starting to experiment with colouring. I'm using PSP to do this - would Photoshop be better?

Photoshop is always better. But that's only because it's the only on of the two that I know how to use.

I never could get to grips with Photoshop's vector based tools, but then I'm probably too used to using PSP.

When did those get introduced? At least in PS five, they don't.

5.5 has it's vector tools right next to the Text tool.

But I like the big I for my vector needs as well.

I like it a lot! Maybe you should change the pylons to look different than on Enterprise, and you could add a small secondary hull, and we would get a credible daedalus for the ENT universe.

I was thinking about slinging under some of the J-class cargo pods out the back as a make-shift secondary hull on it's way to being the Daedalus.

Why do the nacelles change? Wouldn't it be a sort of case of 'if it works use it again'.
