My Internet has been down for the last couple of days, so I did this to pass the time. The Enterprise is one of my half finished Constitution WIPs, and would not look good any closer (the side windows are not inset and the side logo looks like utter crap, the saucer has no windows, the impulse block is the series version and the less said about the shuttlebay the better)

I know the Galactic Berrier doesn't look like the one from the episode in question, but.... well I didn't just want a pink blob [Razz]

Your server is having some troubles. It's very slow.

I was kinda expecting a retro-advertisement poster for the first episode of Star Trek. Perhaps you could add some typical Trek portraits to fill it up, and add some tv-ad slogans.

Looks goood but I'd nix almost all the blur effect on the ship: that looks kinda cheesey.

Bueatiful work on the barrier though!
Really really nice there.

Hey, mabye you can help me out with something: I need a good shot of earth (photo or otherwise, but not copyrighted) that i can add my new Norway model to.
It needs to show starfielf on all sides though (it's for boxart and I cant find a pic I'm happy with).

The one thing wrong with the composition is that unless the Enterprise is smack up against the barrier, at the angle it's traveling it would go right over it.

I wont point out the idiotic nature of a narrow band of energy supposedly being a "barrier" to anything.

...oh wait..

MrNeutron - you are assuming that the barrier and the Enterprise are relatively close, your mind needs distant objects to be unfocused. I see nothing wrong with image. It's a good idea.

A series of posters for all 79 episodes would be cool. Get cracking people!! [Smile]

I want to see Seanr do the surface of that planet in "Operation - Annhilate!"

Honestly, the blur was an exparament and wouldn't be useable most of the time since on a larger object there would be too many problems (since I did it in Photoshop)

As for Earth, I can try doing some renders for you with public texture maps, but I've never been great with planets.

It's allright: I found some cool stuff over at a NASA site tha'll probably work, and I'm feeling the deadline looming.....

Got a version of your poster without the blur?

Who's gonna do The Doomsday Machine?
Would you sclae the Planetkiller to match the onscreen effects or the dialogue description?

Rather then eliminate the blur compleatly, I've done this version with a toned down blur
