I think those eliptical pieces were supposed to be pop-up turbolift connectors (and I really want to say it was for the saucer cargo bays). Unfortunately, my technical manual is still packed away out in the shed.

Heh. I hope my manual is still okay. The box that it is in (along with my the Sternbach blueprints, the chronology, the encyclopedia, and several music books) is looking a little crumpled from the weight of two boxes of National Geographics and a microwave sitting on top of it. I'd shift things around, but I can't reach back it unless I unload all the crap from my apartment that's in the way.
