As I think I mentioned before, I am a thousand miles away from all of my reference material and hardware. Could someone who has access to the items in question take a moment to take down the following measurements?
**Flag rank insignia** Diameter of "pip" Thickness of border Distance(s) between pips Distance(s) between pip and border Overall height/thickness of pin If possible, inset depth of black field, and any height difference between pip and border
**Enlisted rate insignia** Overall dimensions (length, height, thickness) Chamfer placement (how far along each side the angled bit starts) Distance between leading edge and first chevron Distance between chevron and top/bottom edge(s) Thickness of chevron Chevron angle placement (how far along, say, the leading edge the angled bit of the chevron starts -- and is that angle 45?) Placement and diameter of "stars" Is there a border, or is that an optical illusion?
Thanks in advance, --Jonah

As many of those props were resin casts, I'd say "whatever looked okay onscreen" is the answer to the many of your questons.
You could always buy yourself some cheap casts off ebay and measure them- the visible diffrence between the original and a accurate prop would be neglegible. "Accurate" meaning "looks right to you".
If you really wanted to be anal, there were several articles on the insignia from STTM that havebeen posted online- you could print the insignia out to scale and measure from that.
