I do like the overall shapes of these, but you might consider a small departure and adding some subtle tapering to the 4-way wing pieces. They're just a bit blocky as is. I think I liked the faceted/segmented fore-hull in the first image better than the rounded version, though the rounded one is cool. Like the texture maps and the composition above the planet is terrific, but I'm worried with the blue coloring you'll lose them against the planet.

I've been a Star Frontiers fan for 20 years now. That was the RPG I was most involved with (well, that and Marvel).
I've been lurking the DB over at StarFrontiers.com for a long time now. There has been a surge of activity recently. Have you been there? If not, I'm sure people there would be interested in seeing this.
One guy has even taken various ships (The Gullwind and Assault Scouts) and placed them in his own computer program of sorts.

Yeah I've seen them, very cool! Did a little more fiddling and expanded the Frigate into the Destroyer (1 HS difference and virtually the same armament)
