It either exists in my Star Trek universe, or else my USDF universe, I haven't decided.

Nonsequitor: I just looked up Title 14, Section 1211 of the Code of Federal Regulations. It says Section 1211 is reserved for future use. Where did you find the reference in your sigline?

Here is a barely interpretable page dealing w/ Title 14, Section 1211 of the CFR. The fact that 14/1211 is "reserved" could mean, I suppose, that this regulation has either been repealed, or never actually went into effect. Of course, there's also the possibility that it's something someone made up, but, if so, they sure did a good job of assigning it a title/section number that was unused and was in the right part of the CFR (title 14, chapter V (which includes section 1211) deals with NASA). If this is a real regulation, it was apparently designed for the purpose of quarantining people who have been exposed to "celestial bodies" other than Earth, or who have been exposed to anything that has been exposed. It actually seems like a very sensible precaution, so, if it really was on the books at one time, I'm not sure why it wouldn't still be, unless it's just to keep all the conspiracy nuts from having even more fodder (too late now, though...).

I dunno, I'd assume it's somewhere away from the outer surfaces, so damage wouldn't disable the control area.

By pulse cannons I mean pulse phaser cannons, like on the Defiant. Just saves typing/writing to cut out 'phaser'

Looks nice. Personally though it reminds me of something I'd see in say Alien or Space: Above and Beyond.
