Inspired by Masao's SF Museum style and by the prospect of seeing them as 3D models, I have updated two of my ship designs: http://www.uni-siegen.de/~ihe/bs/startrek/my_ships/detroit.jpg http://www.uni-siegen.de/~ihe/bs/startrek/my_ships/meteor.jpg

BERND! Very, very cool!

Love them

The first one - its like a pre-refit miranda without the rollbar right? Can I just say one little thing... shouldn't the saucer section be a little 'thinner' - it looks more Constellation class at the moment... although that could be your intention...

The Detroit is actually a Pre-Constitution ship. Here are the descriptions, still with the crappy old drawings:

I really like the meteor class except for the nacelles. I don't really like downward curved nacelles except on the Danube Class. Maybe if they were a little more Sovereign-ized...

I like them both. Especially the meteor. Very nice.

Yikes! *in a low voice* Are you going to redo the Renaissance, Merced, and Yorkshire like this too?

Actually, these ships are not that much different. I only managed to handle the problems I previously had with gray color gradients that always became greenish. I found out that this was only a problem because the clipboard is only a s good as the color display, and it was only high color. I switched to true color (with reduced resolution), and suddenly the images looked fine.
