I've been trying to figure out what other kinds of ships might have been running around during the TOS (pre-movie) era that we never had a chance to see. I figure that there must have been a number of types besides just the old Constitution class (and what kind of thip was the Aurora from "The Way to Eden", anyway?)

Here's the Cargile class destroyer (nearly identical in appearance to the Sands class light exploration cruiser) -- click on the ship name for the details (opens in a new window).

I didn't get a chance to see this when you first posted, not with the unending glut of Necro's images.

You seem to be a storehouse of ideas. This one is really cool. Keep up the good work.
