Well, I've finally worked my way through much of the pre-TOS era and am now moving into the Movie-era (for starships).
The Cobra class cruiser was designed to supplement the Constitution class heavy cruisers of the mid-23d century. It was designed later and incorporated many improvements in spaceframe layout. The version shown below is the pre-Movie-era version. Click on the image for details about the type, and a look at the refit version.
