I don't know if this is the right spot, so my apologies if it is.
I am trying to find a book of ships drawn by Erik Kristiansen (spelling of the last name may be wrong) called Jackill's Ships of Starfleet Volume 3. I've been attending various conventions around the west and checkingon Ebay with no luck. Intergalactic Trading Company also didn't yeild any results either. Does anyone know of a place that I might be able to pick this up?

Good luck. I've only ever seen this book ONCE, and I'd kick myself for not buying it at the comic shop's overinflated price if I thought it'd do me any good. You can find some of the book's illustrations over at http://www.shipschematics.net/startrek/
But with relatively poor scans.

My problem is that my copy of the book had been stolen. I know the scans are there but I'm also looking for the information contained within the book (and I'd like to have my collection complete). I've met Eric before at a convention, he was a great person to talk to. We knew each other through the old GEC club.

Eh... Yeah, I suppose this is related enough to D&A... And I don't feel like moving it. So I'll allow it. *L*

I really wish he'd been able to continue the series after #3, but I hear he's dropped out of sight now. I wrote him a few years ago to the address in the back of the book, but nothing came of it.
Before you ask, I'm not giving up the book for anything less than a ridiculously large amount of money or power. Or an eighteen-year-old redheaded nymphette.

Eric Kristiansen says he's now working on a TOS book, but real-world responsibilites are getting in the way.

For non-members, GEC (Galactic Engineers Concordance) was a group that printed (!) a treknology fanzine called Logbook. It broke up a few years ago. Believe it or not, before the net, people used to communicate by physcially sending each other pieces of paper!

I've seen several copies around my part of the world (Yorks., U.K.) in the past. Try the Sheffield Space Centre (I forget the URL); they're usually quite comprehensive. Okay, postage to the USA won't be cheap, but...
