The second Defiant-Class starship commissioned, the Courageous is also the first "line production" model of Sisko's ship, and doesn't have a cloaking device, and also lacks many of the design problems of the original Defiant. She is still overpowered for her size, and carries a complement of approx forty-one officers & crew.

Commander Clarice Hunt -- Captain, human, young woman, early thirties. Strong and vibrant leader, hides self-doubt so as not to lose crew's confidence.

Lt Commander Kane Reese -- A human member of Starfleet's elite Special Operations (and a former comrade of ex-spec ops member Connor Macy), it's his job (and that of his five-man cover team), to sabotauge key enemy positions when the opportunity presents itself. Very daring, willing to do anything to complete his mission -- he knows no fear.

Lt. Palor Toh -- From the Federation world of Feisii, he is a member of an almost amphibian species (similar in concept -- but not apparenace -- to Akbar from SW). Executive Officer, sometimes putting him at odds with Reese, with whom he outranks on the ship, but must obey when on planetary missions.

Lt. Sanok -- Chief Engineering Officer. Vulcan logic and training gives this officer the knowledge to fix anything that breaks, and also allows him to jury-rig almost anything. A thirty-year veteran of Starfleet, he is driven not by career ambition, but by excelling in his assignment as an engineering officer.

Ensign Rawfal -- Conn, Antican (the first of his species to graduate Starfleet Academy). Being a carnevour, this will put him somewhat at odds with some of the other members of the crew, but he's a dedicated officer (and he looks mighty imposing on top of that). Attended Flight Training school to learn how to pilot the production-model of the Defiant-Class, which is still overpowered compared to other ships.

Master Chief Dirk Gungor -- Human Chief of the Ship. A mix between an operations officer and a jack-of-all-trades bridge officer. He's also the crew's liason to the captain, and voices their concerns to her. An older man -- sixtyish -- he's also the most combat experienced, and the Captain's most trusted advisor.

Doctor Kisan Mosa -- Bajoran Chief Medical Officer, an experienced Starfleet officer with a decade of service under her belt. Experienced, and dedicated -- she will even tend a wounded enemy rather than abandon the Hippocratic Oath, a dedication which will put her at odds with her captain.
