Nice! I think you may have posted this before, 'cuz it does look very familiar to me ... although, honestly, you could've posted it to another BBoard I also frequent, so don't take my word for it.
Er, Wes ... do you really think Starfleet has a starship named Vengeful? Honestly, that sounds more like a Klingon or Romulan ship name to me. I guess it could be Andorian ...

It very well might be a Starfleet name. As far as I can see, Starfleet likes to pull names out of the ship registry of the Royal Navy, (i.e. Hood, Repulse, Eagle, Valiant, Defiant, Exeter, Farragut, Illustrious?, Reliant, Apollo, Excelsior, Excalibur, etc.), and I'm positive there's a Vengeful in that list somewhere. I'll check my editions of Jane's later.

I've never heard of an HMS Farragut before. AFAIK, Farragut was an American admiral. Was this ship supposed to be named after someone else?

Groundskeeper Willy: Aye. I also 'ate the mess he left on me rug. [Bart stares.] Ya heard me!

My apologies, no HMS Farragut listed in the Royal Navy prior to 1947. There is an HMS Vengeance, however. The first time the name was used was in 1759, and there were 7 ships to bear the name up to 1947.
