For the better part of a decade, Arnett has done voice-over work for General Motors -- as the voice of GMC Trucks. NBC's new "Knight," however, is "played" by a Ford Mustang.
And this happened less than 2 weeks before airing of the pilot movie. It's going to be a lot of scrambling for the post-production people.

Not really. You put Val in a booth, have him read all of Will's lines, and swap them into the mix. TV people do it all the time when they re-dub their own actors mere days before delivery. An actor I know did a cartoon voice for a show once, but when the producers managed to get Rick Moranis as a "name actor" after the animation was en route, they put Rick in the booth and had him parrot every line that Scott did first in the same tone and pace. Scott was pissed.

I'll watch the pilot for sure. I won't even think about it. I loved Knight Rider as a kid and will just hope they do something cool with this. Of course... I had the same hopes for Bionic Woman and I was way dissappointed. Even Michelle Ryan's hotness couldn't keep me interested.
