Looking at that first article and the IMDb entry, they've got some interesting actors involved. Two that I'm a bit confused about are who they've got for Destro and Cobra Commander - Christopher Eccleston (9th Dr. Who) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Tommy from 3rd Rock). Eccleston may be able to pull it off, although my preconception for Destro is that he has a rather deep voice. But a kid that's 7 years younger than I am for Cobra Commander?!? I'll have to see it to believe it.

Chances are this movie will suck, unless they can find a way to make it fun for all audiences, not just kids and not just the people that grew up with the original show.

Snake eyes looks cool, but I don't understand the molded rubber top. Just put Ray Park in some long-sleeved under-armor. The man is a statue. I dig the BDUs and ammo harness though.
As for the casting choice for CC.. in theory we won't ever actually see his face, so maybe they're looking for a good voice.

it's wait and see. any time you get a property-to-movie, it's give and take. look at how the current GI Joe comic series has using the patheon of charactors. a god example of craming a movie full of players: Mortal Kombat, SF:Van Dam & even SF:the animated movie (the one with korn, that german band & AiC...)

Mine went from a kick me sign to a giant Dunce hat. How many posts do you need to change it? 800? A few more months, and I will have Kick Me back...
