I was hoping for more action in this one than what we actual saw. Did we even see the dreaded command ship the automated fighters hailed from?

I don't think so. Just those little tin frisbees.

Do we have any idea when the show is coming back? I can't find mention of it anywhere. Or is Syfy trying to kill Universe too?

The show is supposed to come back in the spring is all I've managed to find out. An announcement on whether or not there will be a season three is due soon. Apparently they have a five year story arc with this show, but can wrap it up in a season if given enough time.

Just what network do they think they've been airing on? "Given enough time"—HAH!
"Spring" means March at the earliest, which means a minimum three-month break. Sure looks like Syfy is trying to kill another show...

A big wait till the conclusion of the story!?! NO!! All I could say at the end of this episode was... "SHIT!" (Like what the hell are they gonna do now, Shit!)
Eli was great in this episode. I reckon Chloe has signalled the other aliens.
I surely hope they aren't trying to kill this show? I really doubt it - it's like the Flagship show of SyFy.

Like that's ever mattered. No I could see them try to off the show because it fails to meet their impossibly high expectations due to the fact that's its situated in an unfair time slot where it can't really be expected to compete with other prime time shows. Make room for some more stupid reality shows where people catch a spot of light on wall or tree and immediately assume that it's an alien or a ghost, or the ghost of an alien.

Let me tell you about this show called Farscape... And this other show called Battlestar Galactica... and a third called Caprica...

That's it. All the scifi fans need to pool our money and start a goddamn network.

Well Farscape... was a different kettle of fish. Wasn't a sci fi original. Battlestar was split up by Sci Fi but was given it's intended run. What happened to Caprica was SHIT but it did have a slow start, which I think was it's downfall. I mean the show should be able to do what it LIKES but for it to survive, they knew it'd have to pull out the big-guns fast and quick - cement as core fan base and then get all introspective. I think it alienated it's BSG fanbase with the pilot (unfortunately). I liked Caprica and think it's sucks that it's now gone.
I really hope this isn't the case with Universe and I don't think being all cynical about the show and how it could possibly be treated is a very good thing to do about a show that we all (I assume) like!

Do the executives at the network think that? They probably think their flagship show is, like, Ghost Hunters or some shit like that.

I thought the flagship was now the WWF wrestling crap. Or whatever D-movie of the week they paid $100 bucks for.
