I'd say they've got bigger things to worry about. I don't know where their central offices are located, but if they're in New York, I don't really think they care what they're playing.
In related news, NBC, ABC, and CBS have pushed back the start of the fall season by one week.

Seriously? The West Wing premiere is getting pushed back a week? I mean I totally understand why, but it just amazes me that the networks would push back their season premiere week. They've already gone days without a single commercial and now they're pushing back one of the biggest week's of the year...how uncharacteristcally generous.

I asked the same question, and the answer I got was this:
I believe they're being delayed because of the episode that was going to be on Tuesday: Survivors, involving a terrorist attempt to blow up the station when President Santiago arrives to personally deliver a new fighter wing. Since they haven't already just skipped the episode, my guess is that they're just delaying all of the episodes for a few days.

Son of a bitch! B5 is on, TKO. They skipped Signs and Portents. This was one episode I really wanted to see and record since it's the start of the Shadows and Mr. Morden.

You know, given all that's happened, this ranks with the bitching at AICN about the WTC being removed from "Spider-Man" and "Zoolander". Oooh, sci-fi channel skipped over a few episodes of B5 ... it's not the end of the world.

On a related note, I hear that they're digitally re-editting Friends. Are they just changing new episodes, or are they going to change all the old ones too?

I think it would be REALLY defeatist to edit a show to say that the WTC didnt exist five years ago on Friends.
So far theyre just taking the WTC out of Spidey promos, they said it didnt play a big part in the movie but there are two ads, one where its reflected in his mask (which is easy enough to fix if you want to) in a still (i think) and one a scene that wasnt from the movie but was made for the trailer whee he swings from them

You don't understand, I had planned on recording "Signs and Portents". Since Babylon 5 is single massive story I'm recording the vital episodes. And this one, establishes a very important plot of Mr. Morden, the Shadows, and Londo. Had they skipped episodes I didn't need to record I wouldn't care.

It doesn't surprise me that they're taking the WTC out of new Friends episodes. Actually, this is a problem that alot of shows that take place in New York might have to deal with. They're going to have to reshoot all their stock footage of the city that had those buildings in it.
I'm really curious how the West Wing will deal with this? I know it already sort of exists in a pretend world where the Bush, Clinton, and Dubya administrations never existed, but how do you have a show about the President and his staff and not acknowledge this? Maybe they will add a throw-away line about Bartlett getting back from a tour of New York or something. Obviously, the show isn't going to focus on this event.
