I watched Colossus' lines. OK he had more than one 'line' if you want to be pedantic he had 5.
They were: "Hey..." (his cartoon of Rogue and Bobby) --very quietly--
"Take her" (at the entrance to the secret passage way) --over the sound of helicopters--
"I can help you" to Wolverine - his longest line. --lots of activity going on, kids etc.--
"This way" to the kids. --over the sound of helicopters--
"Out here" --over the sound of metal door opening-- when they got to the metal grating at the end of the passage. (I'm not 100% sure on the exact wording of this one).
And he appeared silent in the next to final scene in Xavier's office - but silent.
So yeah - he didn't have a THICK Russian accent - my argument is - how can you TELL with 4 or sentences that don't go over 4 syllables!?!
AND it'd be corny if he sounded like Chekov! LOL!
AND they might have changed his back-story his parents might be Russian immigrants to the U.S. and his name is a tradition Russian name.
Unless he's given a bigger part - we'll never exactly know.
What we saw was pretty darn cool though!
Oh and I worked out Jubilee is mentioned by Storm as she is one of the captured kids. And she asks if the prof is ok at the end (when I presume is in mental contact with Jean).
No Jubilee 'fireworks' though.
Once again Night-crawler was the COOLEST!

P.S. I also noticed Stryker's right-hand-man was the same actor who plays/played Tanith in Stargate-SG1. And that character in the Highlander TV series I never really watched the series.

P.P.S.
I heard a metallic 'clinck' when Wolvie was shot in the head!

P.P.P.S.
Does Bobby Drake's Brother - Ronny get any Mutant powers in the comics?
Andrew
P.P.P.P.S
The Drake's cat was great! LOL!

Bobby has no siblings that I've seen in the comics and his parents disowned him once he told them about his powers but they eventually came around...sorta.
Side note: The X-Man you don't want to kill is Beast (Hank McCoy). He's a member of the X-Men, Defenders and Avergers. All told, you'd have over 100 super powered heros after your ass. That would be bad.

Both smoke cigars and down the beer! Both are surly, both have 'skeletons' of metal! I think I'm onto something here!
Possibly crack.

I thought Colussus' armor on effect was pretty cool, though it was very obvious that they didn't want to spend alot of cash on it. The one shot we saw of it was in almost complete darkness and you couldn't see alot of details. Then the next time you see him, he's turned it off, which seems rather a silly thing to do when the mansion is full of soldiers with machine guns.
Anyway... a coupla funnies I noticed during my second viewing were on Stryker's computer monitors in his office while Mystique was snooping. There were a list of names she scrolled through which included Gambit's real name and several other Marvel characters that I can't remember off hand. There was a folder next to the Cerebro folder called "Franklin Richards". I'll have to get the DVD and freeze frame for more.

To my recollection, Bobby Drake does indeed have a brother. His father, AIR was quite relieved to find out that the other son wasn't one of "Them", as Mr. Drake was quite the racist in the comics.

And, if I'm going to be double pedantic, then isn't mentioning Colossus in the thread title constitute a spoiler by itself? I'm not sure how strict we should be here.

Well, this thread is about a specific aspect of X-Men 2. Nim's thread is pretty general and covering many topics.

You're probably right, Liam, but I'll be darned if I can think of a descriptive yet non-spoilerish thread title.

Well, you could try "Colossal X2 spoilers". And then it would be all witty and stuff.
Or maybe just "That person who is in X2 whose voice people are complaining about a fair bit".
