I've been staring at the pictures available of the Prometheus for a while (which aren't too clear anyway), but I can't seem to figure out where some of its features are.

For example, we know the thing's bridge has windows, but I can't tell if the bridge is in the nose of the ship or in the tower. Considering it's an Air Force ship, I would think they would like it up front like an aircraft, but I could be wrong.

Also, we've seen a death glider docking with it, but where is the docking bay?

A labeled diagram or picture to answer these and many other questions would be extremely helpful.

Thanks,
B.J.

Back before the Prometheus first appeared, there was someone on the SG1 newsgroup who posted a picture of the ship, and who was quickly attacked because it looked so ugly (and quite unlike any Stargate ship that had come before). Oddly, the sample pics he showed had the Prometheus riding on strange white energy "rails" that intersected the ship's FTL drive nacelles on the sides of the ship (think the solar sail ship from "Tron" that rode energy beams).

My guess would be that the bridge is in the tower. Kind of like a navy ship. Seems more defensible. More time to shoot down incoming fire or debris, I guess.
