Actually, in the episode of Smallville in which "Aquaman" (a teenaged Arthur Curry), he did not display the power to talk to fish (or any other kind of sea creatures) -- he could breathe underwater and swim real fast, and in the water he could project some kind of force-beam to push something away. He had a Baywatch look about him. With the right scripts, it could be a watchable series. And the latest I heard was that The CW (the network WB and UPN are merging to become) has it as a possible midseason contender.

One of my lab instructors for Sound For Film class was the sound mixer for this. So, go buy it from iTunes. If enough people do, they might pick it up anyway, and this guy deserves a steady job.
Also, the pilot was for the new WB/UPN merger network thing.
