Personally I think TOS should be left as it is. The episodes have already been digitally remastered to clear them up, and this, IMO, is sufficient. Yes, the effects are downright silly in some cases by today's standards, but this is the point. Star Trek wasn't about special effects back then, it was about telling stories, and when we put more emphasis on the effects than on the story, Star Trek loses its uniqueness and becomes just another sci-fi special effects extravaganza. When I want to see that, I watch Star Wars. People who complain about the effects should remember that this was a low budget show made in the 60's, and then start paying attention to what the characters are actually saying.
It would have been nice if that link to the CGI shots was working, I was very curious to see just what the new shots looked like.

I found this site about a week before it was reported on Ain't it Cool News. I'm glad I downloaded all of the movies when I did. They're pretty cool, but not outstanding. I do like what they did with the Constellation though. It's much more suspensful when you first see it.

Well, personally, I think TOS is fine as it is now that it's all nice and cleared up, but if they were to touch it again, I'm sure both versions would stay in existance...

Personally I liked Tos in all its corniness, but the idea of updating graphics is very appealing. This whole discussion makes me wish that the next series would take place during Tos or at the time to E-B.

An Enterprise NCC1701-B TV movie would be really cool. They had a nice crew set up for the ship in "Generations", it would be a waste not to use them again.

Except that a few of the actors have moved onto bigger things now. Whatshisname that played Harriman being the one that sticks out the most in my mind.

Well, me too, so if I've seen a couple of them around, it's got to mean something.
