I suppose I should have expected as much from a librarian.
The current "Tick" live action series that is in pre-production is optioned by Fox as a potential midseason replacement. It has nothing to do with the cartoon being shown on Comedy Central, and even less to do with the Sci-Fi Channel.

Not my point, Sol. My point is if superheros fit into the science-fiction sub-genre, then does that mean all cartoons fit into the science-fiction sub-genre?
And if you consider fantasy to be sci-fi, then does that mean Cinderella is a sci-fi heroine? There should be a defining measure if you want to categorize things.
How do you categorize sci-fi? (ooh, sounds like a good subect for discussion. Sci-fi discussion, here we come! Maybe we'll even make it to the flameboard!)

The rest of this aside, I'll follow Baloo's advice and rent the movie, tonight if possible. I've been waiting to hear from someone I knew about this film, since it was raked so bad by the critics.
Likewise "Battlefield Earth", it got raked, but ther three people I know, who have seen it, liked it.

Well, Mystery Men was generally accused of not being funny enough, which is different from the charges being leveled at Battlefield Earth, most of which imply that the film crawled up from the extreme bowels of hell.
For the record, I enjoyed Mystery Men. I haven't seen BE, though I am sorely tempted. But I can't quite stomach even the remote possibility of any of my money going to the Hubbardites.
