Unfortunatly, your definition of spam is incorrect. As I previously stated in the quote, spamming = advertisements for services or websites, excessive useless fluff messages, flooding, and the like. You have done exactly that.
Boiling it all down, all you've done is say "Look, I have a site, it's new, everyone come have a look see!" This is spamming.
Everything would have been fine and dandy if you had simply followed the rules of the Forums. And, unfortunatly, you started this whole fiasco off with the original post in this thread. We are not at fault for your ignorance of the laws of the land.
And who suddenly came up with this ingenious idea of acting like 5 year olds and bringing over all these people for the possibility of bashing us like children? You must be proud.

And ISPs actually ban because of "excessive, useless fluff messages"??
I'm pretty sure you'd have a tough time getting that particular thing to stick.
BTW - if someone has a link in their sig does that mean they get banned as well?

Cool. It seems the kid had some SFA-cronies covering him while typing. Real mature, guys.
In WarriorDL's defense, about the spamming, c'mon, he didn't know any better. Anyone who's been to the Sci-Fi Art's forums knows how they spam in pretty much every thread, they're brought up on it. Not to mention all the ass-kissing anyone gets who posts a five-year old's stab at a flying saucer. For a "3D art site" you have pretty low standards. Every once in a while someone dusts of a sovereign-mesh and adds five solar-flares so you can have a group-hug and keep the spirit up.
How am I doing so far? Oops, forgot the
See, it's all in good fun!

Nimrod, please don't degrade to their level. Just because they want to act stupid doesn't mean we should match them at it.

The only relation between the Flare Forums and the Sci-Fi Art Forums is that they are Forums. That's pretty much it. Therefore, there is no comparison.
