Amazon.com put up a donation page last night.

At 7:50 PM, Pacific, they had collected $74,000

At midnight Pacific, they had collected $183,000

At 10:45 AM Pacific, they had collected $626,000

At 2:10 PM Pacific, they had collected $1,045,000

Wow.

I wonder how that money actually will be used? I mean, there are as many holes into which that money could be poured as there are collected dollars. They must have some sort of prepared priority list. I haven't read that page thoroughly, though.

Not entirely on topic, but Mr. Publicly Displayed Name, you've got a quote in your signature which has been attributed to Nostradamus- but he never wrote such a thing. Its actually written by a guy who wanted to sound like Nostradamus to prove how vague his quatrianes were.
