Hobbes: Self-edittable status lines would have to be hacked in. I think CC's scared of hacking the UBB anymore after all the problems it caused in the past...

Nope, no hacking... this is a beta board - if I install beta code, I can't hack. And considering that I'm the guy who's actually in charge of *WRITING* the UBB, I consider running beta code hacking anyway...
And FYI, the max length for the title, in characters, is somewhere between 120 and 150... including HTML.
