Recently, I've been working at two Papa John's stores ... the Cockeysville (very suburban/urban area) and the Jacksonville (very VERY rural ... 70 or so sq. mile delivery area with 3 traffic lights) stores.
On Friday, I quit at Cockeysville. My boss has been a complete dick for some time, and cut my hours from 27, to 15, to 6, and finally to 3. Thursday night, I was hired as a server at Chi-Chi's (a Mexican restaraunt)*. I start tomorrow.
Did I mention I'm also working at Towson's English Department's Computer Writing Lab?

*stands up* HI, my name is LOA and I'm a workaholic....
*crowd responds* Hi, LOA!
Snay, been there, done that, feel your pain... I just cut back though... I just started school, so I'm only working 50 hours a week for a while
You'll do fine working this much until you take a break... I'm not kidding, if you're anything like me, not only will your body get used to it, but you'll almost start to crave it.... when you DO finally get a day off, it'll seem weird, and you'll feel out of sorts. Trust me, it's disturbing, but true...
It'll be quite a while before you feel like collapsing from exhaustion, most likely, but I'm not kidding- if you take a few days off (like a long weekend or something) you'll never want to go back. Ever. It'll be the hardest thing you've ever had to do.
So, keep up the schedule, stay strong, DON'T GET SICK, and try your hardest to find at least 30 mins a day just for you... you'll be fine!
And if you ever need to vent, I'm here for ya
~LOA

You guys and gals are nuts! 50+ hours a week of work!!!! Over here, full-time is 37 hours and as a student we are discouraged from working more than 10 a week to prevent our studies being interferred with. Aren't your studies suffering?

My schedule is light this semester when it comes to classes. I was originally going to take 12 hours, but one of my classes was canceled (no reason given). I could not slide into an open section, so I am stuck with just 9 hours. I still part-time at the same place I've been working for almost a year now (about 27 hours a week).
My Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule starts at 6am with a my thrice weekly walk around Memorial Park. I get into work between 8am and 9am and work until 6pm. The rest of the evening is studying and goofing around.
My Tuesday-Thursday schedule starts at about 8:30am. I usually run errands until my first class begins at 11:30am. At 5:30pm, I'm on my way home to study and goof around.
The weekends are mine! And by "mine" I mean that they're mine provided my parents do not have anything big planned for me.

More like ripping out the 20-year old kitchen counter tops and replacing them with granite tile. Or building a shed. Or repainting several rooms in the house.
