This time last Saturday, Papa John's in Jacksonville was a coporate owned store, and I was a driver.
Today, Papa John's in Jacksonville is a franchised store, I am still a driver, and I've been offered $600 a week (plus monthly cash bonuses) to be store manager.

Being a manager can suck sometimes because you've got more responsibility for running things and have to deal with some of the shenanigans of the minimum-wage people who don't always have a good work ethic (not that I have personal experience, but I remember how my manager at the bagel shop a year ago had to handle things)... but I'd say that this is a great opportunity, even if you only work it for a few months or a year.

Management DOES look good on a resume - but let me tell you, after managing at Hollywood Video for over 2 years, I couldn't be happier that they finally allowed my demotion to go through Management was only okay when I could focus all of my energy on it. Once the other jobs came, and school started, the extra responsibility of management (and being the one responsible for EVERYONE, ALL of the time) became the biggest burden ever.
Just don't let it all go to your head, okay?

I was an assistant manager at Domino's Pizza, so it's not like I'm new to the tasks at hand (although re-learning how to do inventory is going to suck).

So Jeff is going to become some kind of power-mad pizza restaurant manager? Isn't that how Blofeld got started?

Can you do delivery to Toronto?
You're the manager right? You can do anything, right?

I think I'd get in trouble for delivering to Toronto, especially since I'd probably have to pay the driver $100 in mileage or so. So, uh, no.
And I still have to talk to the owner about it ... he asked me last night, and he wasn't in today. So maybe I'll see him tomorrow night and say, "I accept!"

Yes, and that empty pizza box ends up in a MI landfill....
On the other hand, we get your garbage and you get my step son, which, even if we gat all of Canada's trash, is a very fair deal.....
Now we need to work out a deal for the nuke waste you are taking.....

Oh good, they forgot to mention the "catch" ... yipeee. I love the "catch" ... especially when they take this long to tell me. Oh well, we'll see how it goes.
